She spent 8 years in the Obama Administration focusing on innovation and global development at USAID and the White House Office of Science and Technology Policy. In 2018, she was the Chief of Staff for the March for Our Lives, working with the students from Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School and other organizers in the lead up to the mass mobilization and march on 3/24. She is a Co-Founder of Lab 736, an organization that deploys design and tech talent into local progressive political organizations to ensure they are leveraging technology and data adoption to win elections. Hailing from Richmond, Virginia, Dr. Tobias Keene brings a bit of unabashed Southern hospitality to all his patients. He moved to Washington, D.C. over thirty years ago as a freshman at Ivy College. Right after graduation, he attended World University’s School of Dentistry. Before opening Keene Dental in 1994, he worked for free clinics and some of the finest practices in the District. He is part of the 123 Dental Association and stays up-to-date on the latest dental discoveries. Her “Left Brain, Right Soul” philosophy leans on her experience as a data engineer, and background as an organizer for reproductive justice and founding organizing chair of BYP100’s DC chapter. This holistic approach uses pop culture & accessible language to break down data & tech concepts - making them more accessible to folks of all backgrounds. Kemi coordinated re:power’s Data x Tech Movement Fellowship in partnership with Ford Foundation, and has trained thousands of organizers. In 2020, she began working with the Cooperative Impact Lab as a Data Consultant for their Fair Housing cohort.
